Ian Reid

Ian Reid is a Perth-based author of more than a dozen books – fiction, non-fiction and poetry – and editor of several others, along with numerous publications in periodicals. Widely anthologised in Australia and internationally, his writings have also been translated into five foreign languages. Among his awards is the Antipodes poetry prize. Ian’s most recent books are three acclaimed historical novels, The End of Longing, That Untravelled World and The Mind’s Own Place, and he has just completed a fourth.

 

A Director of the Australian Society of Authors, he has taught creative writing and literature at Australian and overseas universities, and is an Adjunct Professor in Humanities at the University of Western Australia.
